# Energy of replacing 1/12 of a pure oxide with another element

Note that the calculations are spin polarised. Only a few structures end up with a final magnetic moment. Those that do not have ReO2 as the host oxide are found to only be marginally more stable than spin paired calculations for the same system (<0.03eV). When ReO2 is the host oxide the energy differences are larger than 0.1 eV.
